FIRST MOTORBIKE INTO AFRICA

Shalom Radio Sierra Leone – A Motorbike Already Making a Big Difference

It has been exciting for Bikes4Mission to partner with Lighthouse Community Church Bury Port, who generously raised the funds to provide a motorbike for Shalom Radio in Sierra Leone. Shalom Radio station has sent warm thanks to Bikes4Mission after receiving the motorbike; it is already transforming and expanding their ministry. Pastor Mamoud Marah reports that the bike has opened up access to remote Fulani and mountain communities, strengthened pastoral follow‑up, and made regular evangelism possible in places previously unreachable.

With two radio stations and a vast field of 24 chiefdoms, the team is seeing new believers, restored fellowship, and deeper community impact. The team are praying that one day we will be able to supply additional motorbikes allowing multiple outreach teams to go at once, multiplying the Gospel’s reach across Northern Sierra Leone.

A Remarkable Story from the Field

Thanks to Mary’s Bikes4Mission motorbike, she can regularly visit “Mrs Smith” a new believer from a local unreached people group. God is moving powerfully in her life.

Mrs Smith prays in her own language and loves to share how Jesus is answering her prayers; her once‑quiet food stall is now bustling, her son’s broken marriage has been restored, and unexpected financial help arrived just when she needed it. She shares Bible stories with her family and even used the fasting month—while harvesting rice—to tell others about Jesus.

On a recent visit, after watching a video of Peter denying Jesus, Mrs Smith said with conviction that she would never deny Christ, no matter the pressure. Thank you for helping Mary make disciples who will make disciples among this precious people group.
